Not saying we need a different name if we can stick with 'Starcraft Universe' but perhaps if we can't have 'Starcraft' in it maybe just 'Korpulu Sector'. just a thought to dwell on.

If you're allowed to keep StarCraft in it, how about "StarCraft Skirmish" or "StarCraft Arena" (or just "SC Skirmish/Arena"). Skirmish and Arena both capture the feel of your preview video I think.

Someone posted SC Heroes a few comments back, that's pretty good too. Along those lines, SC Front Line(s) or Battle Front wouldn't be bad either.

"Starcraft Universe" would be nice but could easily be confused with "Stargate Universe" - and since it's additionally in the same genre (scifi) that wouldn't be so great.

How about "Starcraft Platoon", "Starcraft Congregation" or "Starcraft Throng"?

I've been thinking about this idea for a bit now. But who says you actually have to use the name "Starcraft" in the name?

Sure if Blizzard likes it they'll add it on like Activision made Modern Warfare do, but it doesn't have to be.

It could be something like the name of the expansion kinda thing, like"The Recovery of The Xel'Naga"

I don't know if this is your plan, since I'm just in my 2nd Semester of majoring in game design, but it can be a sound plan that makes sense.

In reality this might attract more people then just naming it World of Starcraft because it is such a unique name. I'm sure most of the world by now has played Starcraft at one point or another and they'll get hooked on if this gets on MMORPG's list of games, hell if Blizzard franchises it and makes commercials, "The Recovery of The Xel'Naga" would also be an exciting trailer.

Kinda goes into the mysery of why the game is named for the focus of the expansion.

So this is my .02 cents of this topic, hell if I help out at all I'll be more then happy, making games is my passion right now, and I'm trying my best to learn both on my own and college.

Um, this whole discussion was started by me and on the first post i suggested the name Starcraft Universe... I'm not sure what you see that as, but i see it as them taking my suggestion and applying it to the actual game...
