Hi guys !
I have been saying for years that World of Starcraft is a good Idea ! Only found this forum today ! Great Idea.
How do I get involved , I am Lighting designer who works with 3D Rendering and video. What programmes do you guys use and
where can I get a demo to start drawing some ideas ?
I really liked the way a microsoft game did a 3D world about 2002, called Freelancer. and this got me thinking about having Pilots doing sorties etc. Fighter , Cargo and exploring a Gallaxy.
Pilots could be a new skill and open up a whole new MMO enviroment. Getting to new worlds and PVP space ship battles .
Upgrading you ship , speed , guns , HUD upgrades.
Skills like Blacksmith in WOW could be Macanic or ship builder in WOSC , a Piolt could be like mage in WOW getting you places !
Just a thought or two !

We're using Starcraft 2's editor as production software. Appriciate the thought though, but 3d assets and lighting are covered. Check out sc2mapster.com for details on the software.

Freelancer was an underrated fun game to play back in the day.

i wouldnt dismiss his idea to fast though. it holds some good points. im not saying implement and design them now, but i would DEFINITELY consider them for later, especially if this games becomes its own game, like league of legends. those ideas on thier own would make the game alot better than it already would be. professions that are solid and immersive such as what he mentioned would bring players to the game just for that alone! just my 2 cents... good work ryan btw. been following u religiously since the first forum post. keep it up... the dreams of millions are in your hands.
