Data Editors (3): Because of the overwhelming demand a game like this has for lots of weapons and abilities, we will need a few skilled data editors.

Animators (1): We need one highly skilled 3D animator who has the knowledge and talent to create custom animations for the existing models in Starcraft 2.

Trigger Specialists (2): We could use two more trigger experts to script custom raid bosses when the time arrives and do misc work on the user interface.

If you're interested in any of these positions, and you are SERIOUS and willing to dedicate a LOT of personal time to the project, please apply here. I need serious applicants only.

Please Post:

Name:
Age:
General Location:
Area of expertise:
Level of knowledge with the Editor:
Examples of previous projects and work:

If you would like to take on a task but not be a consistent member of the team that is also fine.

Data Editor

Name: Will

Age: 21

General Location: Michigan, USA

Area of expertise: Networking, Databases. I'm an Information Systems major. Currently learning Oracle and about relational databases.

Level of knowledge with the Editor: None with sc2. Did a little work with the Sc1 editor way back in the day. I'm pretty technically inclined, gonna start messing with it.

Examples of previous projects and work: Here's a small library system written in java. I just kinda threw all the classes code into one text file, was just easier than having 10 links from my drop box.

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/16752612/libsyssource

If ya want me for anything else, feel free to ask!

I realize you may be full up on the art department, but I do know the level and amount of art in an MMO environment is sometimes overwhelming. If you guys need any help from props, to character art, let me know.

Name: Austin Holland
Age: 20
General Location: Texas
Area of expertise: Concept, Modeling, Texturing, Learning Rigging and Animating. Sound Development
For Modeling: Maya, Zbrush, and if need be Max.
For texturing: Generally I use Photoshop
Sound: Reason, Fruity Loops and a field recorder.
Level of knowledge with the Editor: None, but I've used UE3, Unity, and the Source engine
Examples of previous projects and work:

Here's a few recent works.

A quick drawing, gave myself eight minutes to start blocking out a character.

Modeling Jam, Twenty minutes to make a boiler.

Second Modeling Jam, Half an hour to Model a Head with eyes and mouth.

Basic untextured V_model.

The handle still needed to be cleaned up, but I do most of this personal stuff for practice

This is a breakdown of my normal mapping process. First link is basic model, second is the final
textured version within a game engine.

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y200/Hybridslinky/Block1.png?t=1295416797

My first attempt at texturing.
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y200/Hybridslinky/weapon1.png?t=1295416828

Basic Brute, tried to keep the counts low.
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y200/Hybridslinky/wip4.png?t=1295416867

Basic street Lamp prop
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y200/Hybridslinky/3-1.png?t=1295416922

More Low-poly Heads

Another Concept

Anyway, sorry to use a lot of room on my reply, but when you see something like this that I'm already a huge fan of, why not try? Regardless, best of luck with everything.

Area of expertise: Triggers!

Level of knowledge with the Editor: I worked with the editor all the way back in SC and have poked around each version that came with the various blizzard games (WC3, TFT, etc.). I've never undertaken anything really ambitious though.

Examples of previous projects and work: Unfortunately, all my old work got stolen. I was going to post a program I wrote in C# for my final lab assignment last semester, but the only copy of it left was on pastebin; it expired.

I'm a Computer Science student at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor with a lot of tinkering experience under my belt. I've written a variety of scripts and programs in C, C++, C#, Objective-C, AutoIT Script, JavaScript, PHP and probably a few others that don't come off the top of my head.

Picture of the running program for previous work: http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i177/Aplesause/TrianglesIA.png

A recent script I did for a class assignment: http://jpfreedom.com/other_scripts/Prime_Number_Finder.php
I realize that I only needed to check up to the square root of each number. I simply took a short cut since the optimization would have taken more time than I felt like spending on getting the same results.

Heya Ryan, I've been watching this forum since about day 1
I've felt how this thing explode all over the web and I'd like to offer myself as a volunteer to moderate the forum.
I know that usually the task is given to someone you can trust and since I am just another Internet lurker this might seem odd.

However, if you would like some moderators for your forum I'd be happy to apply.

I can show you projects I have developed with various artists/studios through email. Music aswell.

My writing will have the quests for the game emotionally gripping and profound, to create a unique and unforgettable experience.

Sometimes developers tend to forget how much a good story can impact the game playing experience. As fun as the gameplay can be, without a evocative and compelling narrative, it just feels hollow. Gamers want to feel a driving force, and purpose for their actions and their stake in the world.

I can make sure your game world is vibrant, unique, and sucks in your player.

I'm very excited to hear this news. I have always been thinking of working on a MMORPG with talented people. I hope I can help out the project in some ways.

I am also interested in the gameplay style direction, is it going to be a traditional MMORPG style, or is it going to take some revolutionary changes that would stands out of the crowds and augment the gameplay overall?

Level of knowledge with the Editor: Hardly any. Some experience with SC1, WC2 and 3 editors if that counts for anything.
Examples of previous projects and work: http://www.granimation.com/2010%20Spring%20Reel%20Compress.mov
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_e05wwlPno

I also do some assignments for Crescent Moon Games from time to time. Below is a list the games i work/worked on with them along with a video i can find of it:
Aralon: ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8DQD0_B2mY ) Cutscene, and ingame animation, and rigging
Ultra Kid: ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6G_aDpLiQDI&feature=related ) Cutscene and ingame animation
Rimelands: ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEEE_rkeA_w ) Ingame animation

Examples of previous projects and work: Grocery Store War 2. Was popular for a little while. It was extremely complex, however, and pushed me to learn the editor well. And, for the lulz, here is a link to the only 3d work that I am almost proud of:: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwe8YnBmoRk
